Acupuncture:

Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese technique that involves the use of specialized needles on specific points along the body.  The purpose of acupuncture is to activate the body's own healing powers by stimulating these pressure points.  This stimulation removes energy blockages by diffusing the toxic build up that accumulates in the muscle tissue.  Tension in muscles puts abnormal pressure on nerves, blood vessels and lymph vessels.  This pressure can affect both the musculoskeletal system and internal organ function.  Some of the acupuncture points are significant as they relate to a specific part of the body, while others are more general in their effect.  Numerous ailments such as headaches, stress, digestive disorders, and arthritis can be relieved.
